Being surrounded on three sides by the Palestinian towns of Al-Bireh and Ramallah, the settlement of Psagot, north of Jerusalem, is one of the most threatened settlement in the Binyamin region.
The surprise attack on the Kibbutzim and other villages and towns bordering the Gaza Strip that began on Simchat Torah, together with the brutal murder and inhuman atrocities committed by the attacking terrorists, changed the perception of security in other areas as well. Suddenly the nightmare of hundreds of terrorists attacking Psagot and overrunning it became a realistic threat.
As part of the emergency preparations which were necessitated by the new situation, Psagot discovered a significant deficiency in combat support equipment for the First Responders Security Unit, made up of Psagot residents, as well as in medical aid equipment. We in Psagot are working hard to quickly fill in the gaps. But we need your help.

Psagot is a beautiful small town established in 1981 on a mountain peak at a height of 907 meters.
The settlement overlooks Jerusalem to the south, the Dead Sea and the Judean Desert to the east, and the Biblical inheritance of the Tribe of Benjamin in the north.
About 330 families live in the settlement, and many educational institutions, factories, and diverse businesses operate there.
The settlement is surrounded from three directions by the Arab cities of Ramallah and Al-Bira.
The houses on the edge of the settlement are located less than 300 meters from the houses of Arab residents.
Who were born and raised in Psagot, and after marrying and raising families, moved together to Kibbutz Kerem Shalom, near the border between the Negev and the Gaza Strip.
They both were members of the First Responders Unit of Kerem Shalom.
On Simchat Torah, the Unit carried on a heroic battle with the Hamas terrorists who attempted to enter the Kibbutz and murder its residents, just as they succeeded in doing in the surrounding towns. The battle was successful and the Kibbutz was saved.
However, after hours of fighting, both of them were killed.
